Those who watch Project Runway may remember Irina Shabayeva as the slightly abrasive but undeniably talented winner of Season six. Not surprisingly, she has started to make a name for herself apart from her reality show fame. Her Fall 2011 collection was recently showcased at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, and though it may seem early for us regular folks to be thinking about Fall fashion, once you catch a glimpse of the menswear inspired separates, knit-sweaters, and dramatic silhouettes, you will be longing for cooler weather! Shabayeva's gowns are do die for, but it is her gift with sweaters and outerwear that garnered her attention on Project Runway and continue to impress in this collection. Luckily, many of her designs include short skirts and dresses, so if we leave the tights and sweaters at home for a while, maybe we can get an early start on this gorgeous collection.
